Analytics privacy

Around Bergen uses Google Analytics to understand visits to our public pages and how readers use our articles. Analytics is enabled by default unless you turn it off or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

What we measure

Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits. Reports include public pages viewed, article reading progress, device and browser information, approximate location and referring websites. We remove query strings from page addresses and referrers we send through our analytics code. We do not send message contents, quote request details, names or email addresses through that code. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled.

Google processes information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your choices

Choose Privacy preferences in the footer, then Turn analytics off to stop this browser from sending further analytics events. Your choice is saved in this browser. Earlier choices to decline analytics are preserved. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals also keep analytics off. You can change your choice in the same footer preferences; browser privacy signals take priority.

This setting applies to this browser on this website. Use your browser settings to manage or remove stored cookies. Signing in to a publisher account also excludes those editorial page visits from our analytics.
